I see that you specialise in small - medium dogs, does that mean my large dog can’t come?
Unfortunately at this time, yes!
We have designed our facility specifically to accommodate small-medium breeds; from chihuahuas to dachshunds to cockapoos. If you are unsure on the size of your dog and their viability with us, please email us with photos of your dog and rough height/weight measurements.
What areas do you cover?
We are based next to Wandsworth Park in South West London. If you are dropping off or collecting your dog, you are welcome to be from anywhere in London.
Our collection and drop-off services cover dogs who are based within a 3 mile radius from SW18 1NL, main areas including: Wandsworth, Putney, Battersea. Please note – collection/drop-off service currently has very limited availability.
However, please do get in touch if you are just outside of this and we will endeavour to work with you if possible.
Are you licensed & insured?
Yes, our HQ is licensed by Wandsworth Council (Licence no. 326197). Our Founders’ home is licensed by Lambeth Council (Licence no. 22/003). Yes – we are fully insured to professionally care for dogs. Our specialist insurance covers public liability; day care; custody and control of your pet; loss of keys and home boarding.
Can I meet the team and see the facilities before sending my dog?
Yes – we recommend you do! Please email us to book a time that suits you, as we are ‘By Appointment Only’. We can show you around and take the opportunity to get to know your dog. We can advise if our daycare is suited to your dog, how they will benefit and answer any questions.
As your facility is indoor-only, where does my dog exercise outside?
The dogs are usually exercised in Wandsworth Park, and sometimes we go to other parks too – for example Battersea Park or Bishops Park.
As your facility is indoor-only, where does my dog toilet?
Dogs are taken outside at frequent intervals to ensure they have adequate opportunities to toilet.
Does my dog need to be vaccinated to attend daycare?
Yes – health is our number one priority (closely followed by happiness). Your dog will need to have all necessary up-to-date vaccinations. They are required to have DHPP, Lepto and Kennel Cough vaccinations to attend daycare. We do accept Titre Test dogs as long as we have a copy of the vets certificate. Bitches in season are not allowed to attend daycare while on heat. Once they have finished their season, they must be fully ‘dry’ and have a home bath before attending daycare.
Is there an age limit?
No. Elderly dogs are just as welcome as young pups. They can still enjoy enrichment games and cuddles as we understand company is more important than anything at this time of their life.
Will my dog be supervised at all times?
Yes – your dog will be under constant supervision by our experienced carers.
What do you charge?
Please refer to the Services page for more details.
Do I need to book on the same days each week?
Yes. Your set day/s are reserved and guaranteed for you (provided that you follow our payment terms). This ensures all dogs and the team are familiar, happy and settled.
Can my dog be collected and dropped off?
Yes, we offer a collection and drop-off service. Please note this is an additional fee to daycare, is subject to availability and only within a 3 mile radius of SW18 1NL.
Do I need to be home when you collect or drop off my dog?
No – we will hold your key and details securely and collect/drop your dog off, even if you are not home. We will never write your address on your key.
I’d like my dog to be collected. When would this be?
Due to variations in travel, we don’t give specific pick-up or drop-off times. If required, we are happy to provide an estimated time slot of 45 minutes (e.g. 8.15 – 9am) which we will send via Whatsapp the evening before each collection. We start collections at 7am and endeavour to collect all dogs by 10am.
I’d like to drop my dog off. When can I do this?
Our HQ will be open for drop-offs between 8am – 9.30am (pre-booked only). Similar to a nursery, our team will be ready to sign your pooch in on arrival.
Should you need to drop your dog off earlier, and our collection service is not appropriate for you – please contact us and we will do our best to work with you.
I’d like you to return my dog to my house. When would this be?
Dogs are returned from 4pm. Due to variations in travel, we don’t give specific drop-off times. We are happy to provide a time slot if required on a case by case basis.
Should you need your dog to be returned later than this, or need to be home when your dog is returned due to separation anxiety (SA), please contact us and we will do our best to work with you.
I have a puppy, can they come to the daycare centre?
Yes – however, all dogs must pass their assessment. Puppies must be at least 12 weeks old, and have had all their vaccinations.
Is Dog Squad London right for me and my dog?
At Dog Squad London, our focus is on the dogs. We pride ourselves on offering a safe and secure daycare centre. The dogs can enjoy their day, build dog and carer friendships, enjoy appropriate enrichment activities and grow their confidence.
It is important that all dogs at Dog Squad London are suited to the environment. This is why we cannot accept all dogs. Daycare does not suit every dog, particularly extremely nervous dogs, socially anxious dogs or females in season.
What happens if my dog doesn’t get on with another dog?
We only accept social dogs. This means that all dogs are happy in other dogs’ company, and therefore it’s unlikely that your dog will not get along with another dog.
Do you only accept well-trained dogs?
No – our team can offer basic support with training & behaviours.
However, we cannot accept dogs that are prone to excessive barking due to our neighbours.
If my dog requires feeding or medication during daycare, will you administer these?
We are happy to feed or medicate your dog during their time with us. Simply drop the food or medications when you check your pup in, along with detailed instructions and we’ll be sure they get a private area to relax, eat and take their medications before returning to the pack.
What happens in an emergency?
Firstly, we will respond to and assess the situation before calling you to discuss the incident.
If we cannot get hold of you and medical attention is needed urgently, we will take your dog to your nominated veterinary practice, or depending on the circumstance, the nearest veterinary practice. We will have consent from you to act as guardians.
Do you have overnight care or holiday boarding?
Yes – Please refer to our Services page for more information. We strongly recommend booking as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment.
What about muddy paws, will you wash my dog?
No – we will however towel dry wet feet. They may not come home pristine, but they won’t come home caked in mud either!
This all sounds good to me! What should I do next?
